REMINGTON PARK PRESENTS LIVE STREAMING OF RACES BEGINNING OPENING WEEKEND

OKLAHOMA CITY – Remington Park starts 2010 live racing this Friday night with the beginning of the American Quarter Horse & Mixed-Breed Season. Remington Park will also begin a new era in technology and fan service as the season gets underway.

Starting Friday, March 5, Remington Park will offer live video streaming of its entire racing program, each and every night of the 50-date season that runs through Memorial Day. The streaming signal can be found via the Multimedia tab on the homepage of Remingtonpark.com. The Multimedia tab is located on the left margin of the site’s homepage.

“We are extremely excited to bring this service to our horse owners and horseplayers around the world,” said Remington Park track announcer Dale Day. “Remington Park recognizes the fact that many people want to see our races even when they can not make it to the track. We also understand the importance of providing our race video to the growing population of those playing Remington Park racing via account wagering vehicles.”

In addition to the live video streaming, Remington Park’s races will also be archived so visitors to Remingtonpark.com can view previous action from earlier in the season.

The Opening Weekend of the Quarter Horse Season is headlined by trials on both Friday and Saturday night. Qualifying heats for three events, the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Derby, the Oklahoma Paint Futurity (Grade 1) and the Graham Paint & Appaloosa Derby will be conducted Friday evening.

The Saturday night program will feature trials for the Grade 2, $350,000 (estimated) Oklahoma Futurity. The race is the oldest consecutively run futurity in all of Quarter Horse racing, beginning in 1947.

The first race on both Friday and Saturday will be at 5:30pm. Sunday night racing, featuring the Grade 2, $50,000 Eastex Handicap, will begin at 6:25pm.

Remington Park is a Top 3 North American Racetrack according to the Horseplayers Association of North America rating system. Remington Park is Oklahoma City’s only Racetrack & Casino, located at the junction of Interstates 35 & 44, in the heart of the Oklahoma City Adventure District.
