"Mine That Bird" Owners Preserves history

March 9, 2010- History was made in 2009 when a little horse from New Mexico rocked the racing world by winning the 135th Kentucky Derby at 50-1. To preserve this historical event minethatbird.com was launched on March 1st.

Readers will delight in page after page of historical chronicles from multiple sources documenting the "Mine That Bird" story. Some shower praise, some are critical, many humorous and others downright silly, but all have contributed to his story and are certainly a good read.

The day after his amazing victory at Churchill Downs a small website went up to provide as much information as possible at the time. This new expanded and refined site remains a work in progress because his fame as the little-horse-who-could created such a stir that thousands of articles and photographs were produced. Everyday new information is added and writers and photographers are encouraged to submit their work for inclusion. Please include credit information: Name, publication (web-link), date, article or photograph (329x429 pixels) send to BIRD at surebetnm@gmail.com.

The fact that everyday “Mine That Bird” receives enough fan mail to make any Hollywood movie star jealous was the main motivator behind this project for owners Mark Allen and Dr. Leonard P. Blach. In the very near future a blog for fans is scheduled to be added.

UFO or not, the “Bird's” story will be preserved for future generations.
