Wild N Wicked JD Extends Win Streak Hialeah's
Beautiful Prairie Stakes
Hialeah, FL Jan. 1, 2012 - William Ives rode Wild N Wicked JD to
victory in Sunday's $22,500 Beautiful Prairie Stakes at Hialeah
Park, the first Quarter Horse stakes of the year.
Saddled by Jackie Kirby for owner Mary Passmore, Wild N Wicked JD
covered 250 yards in :13.106 while earning a 102 speed index. The
newly turned 4-year-old gelding pushed his win streak to three
races, and his margin of victory was a head from Kathryns Cartel.
Wild N Wicked JD was bred in Missouri by J.B. Misner. The gelding's
sire, Terribly Wicked, is a 19-year-old winning son of Streakin Six
who was a finalist in Turbine Jet's 1995 Heritage Place Futurity
(G1) at Remington Park.
Wild N Wicked JD is the first starter foaled by Casha D Dash, a
winning 9-year-old daughter of the Dash For Cash stallion Pure D
Dash.
Wild N Wicked JD was coming off of a neck win as the 9-5 favorite in
a 220-yard, $5,000 claiming sprint at Hialeah Park on December 17.
All told, the gelding has won four of 13 races, and the $13,500
winner's share of the Beautiful Prairie purse increased his bankroll
to $37,207.
Sent to post as the 9-2 second choice in the full field of 10, Wild
N Wicked JD returned an $11 win mutuel and teamed with Kathryns
Cartel for a $54.40 ($1) exacta. Tre Boss ran third, three-quarters
of a length behind the winner, to complete a $1 trifecta payoff of
$126.30.
Jacis Flashy Girl finished fourth and was followed by 5-2 favorite
Oklahoma Bandido, Marys Corazon, Go Mary Be Famous, Sheza Titleist,
Jessgonnafly, and Bachendorf.
Runner-up Kathryns Cartel was three weeks removed from a third-place
run in the 300-yard, $22,500 Foxy Lady Stakes for fillies and mares
at Hialeah. A 5-year-old Corona Cartel mare racing for Jovetta
Meredith and Wade Helton, Kathryns Cartel has won one of 14 starts
and has earned $28,978.
Tre Boss is a 5-year-old gelding by Tres Seis campaigned by Jose V.
Ivanez. A one-time $10,000 claimer, Tre Boss has won three of 10
races and has banked $42,665, and his stakes resume includes a
second-place finish to Shake Em Special Pop in the June 25, $100,000
Fairmount Park Invitational Stakes.
