Hialeah, FL – Jan. 8, 2012 - Anibal Hernandez's Logans Dash scored a half-length victory in Sunday's $22,625 Biscayne Stakes for 3-year-olds at Hialeah Park.

Logans Dash is the first starter produced by Logans Game, an 8-year-old mare by Game Patriot who won the $213,000 Louisiana Breeders' Lassie Futurity (RG2) at Delta Downs in 2006. The filly's third dam, the Special Effort mare Shesa Screamer, was a two-time futurity winner at Mt. Pleasant Meadows in Michigan in 1990.

Logans Dash has won three races, including a 330-yard, $7,500 claiming sprint for Louisiana-breds at Evangeline Downs on November 23. She was claimed by her current connections out of that race.

This Panther Purrs ran second and was followed by 5-2 favorite Rapid Ivory, Ivory Rain, Rare Ivory Note, Special Awards, Theangelshavespoken, Mukewater Creek, and Oceans Potion.

A bay colt by '03 AQHA champion aged stallion Panther Mountain, This Panther Purrs is a maiden who has banked $5,123 from three races for his owner, Fransisco Ramos. This Panther Purrs was coming off of a fourth-place finish in a 300-yard, $12,000 maiden special weight dash at Hialeah on December 16.

Rapid Ivory was three weeks removed from a fourth-place finish as the 6-5 favorite in the 220-yard, $20,000 Mockingbird Stakes at Hialeah Park. The bay Ivory James colt, who races for Bobby R. Byrd, has won four of seven races and has earned $137,688, and his stakes record includes victories in the October 22, $109,400 Governor's Stakes at Hoosier Park, and the July 2, $115,160 Heartland Futurity at Indiana Downs.
