Alert The Press Rebounds at Fonner

Grand Island, NE – March 19, 2011 - Alert The Press returned from a layoff to score his third win from five starts by taking the $10,000 Bachman Stakes by two and a quarter lengths on Saturday at Fonner Park.

Owned and trained by Rodney Davis, Alert The Press raced the four furlongs in :46.00 under Chris Fackler to win at 5-1 odds.

Joseph Koziol and Lawrence Feldhacker’s Another Bumper, the 9-5 second choice, finished second by one-half length over Monahans, owned and trained by Charles E. Smith.

Alert The Press won his first two starts, capped by a win in the Capitol City Futurity at Lincoln Race Course. He then was beaten by more than 30 lengths in the Gold Rush Futurity at Arapahoe Park and the Kip Deville Stakes at Remington Park.
