Daddy Warbucks has been retired
from racing to stand this breeding season at Hourigan Horse Farm
near Anthony, N.M. He will stand for William H. Bright for a
private fee.
A 6-year-old son of Valid Expectations , Daddy Warbucks captured
three stakes, including the $125,000 My Dandy Texas Stallion
Stakes, and placed in four others. He finished first or second
in nine of 23 races and earned $235,524.
Daddy Warbucks is out of the stakes-winning Geiger Counter mare
Countess Delainea.

- Angliana, a stakes-winning son of leading sire Giant’s
Causeway, will stand his first season in 2010 at Mike Grossman’s
Eureka Thoroughbred Farm in Fredericksburg, Texas. The
eight-year-old horse out of Grade 3 winner Pratella, by Jade
Hunter, will stand for $1,500. Angliana won the 2008 Aqueduct
Handicap and finished second or third in nine other stakes
races, including four graded events. He won five of 31 career
starts and earned $391,132. Alvin Haynes bred Angliana in
Kentucky. |

Sale were positive in all categories.
