Sayler saddles 1000th win -
Aberdeen, SD - July 12, 2011 - After all, individual
lifetime achievement is often evaluated in terms of
base hits accumulated, yardage gained and
championships won.
For that reason alone, the recent achievement by
Aberdeen native and Rapid City horse trainer Ardell
Sayler in saddling his 1,000th-winning horse at
Assiniboia Downs race track in Winnipeg, Canada, is
a noteworthy achievement. |

South Dakota Racing Season Opens Saturday
- FORT PIERRE, S.D. — The South Dakota horse racing
season opens Saturday with afternoon races at the
Stanley County Fairgrounds in Fort Pierre.
The Fort Pierre track will sponsor races for three
consecutive weekends, with racing on Saturday, April
30-May 1 and May 7-8.
The horse racing season then shifts to Aberdeen
starting May 14 for three consecutive weekends of
racing. |
