its Fall Mixed Sale on Saturday afternoon with increases across the
board for all breeds.
"Preliminary sales results show the 2011 Fall Mixed Sale was a huge
success and posted large increases for all sessions and breeds,"
Jeff Tebow, Heritage Place General Manager, said on Saturday
following the two-day event.

15, 2011 - Yearlings were the top sellers on Saturday at the
LQHBA Fall Mixed Sale at the Coushatta Casino Resort in
Kinder, Louisiana.
Overall numbers for the fall mixed venue saw a slight
decrease as compared to last year with the sale average
falling to $2,041 from $2,137 for 2010. The median price
dropped to $1,000 compared to $1,300 last year. There were
249 head catalogued this year with 142 selling and 33 outs.

average price, and median at Fairplex Park in Pomona, California.
Two colts sold for $100,000 on Tuesday night to top the October
yearling sale and helped lead increases in total sales, average

Sale rose 47.15% in average, to $27,145. The 55 head sold at

Texas summer yearling sale Aug. 30 managed to hold steady with
last year's figures, no small feat in today's Thoroughbred
market. While other yearling sales so far this season have
offered smaller catalogs, the Fasig-Tipton Texas auction was
able to post the exact same median as last year with a gross and
average nearly mirroring 2010 figures while selling a similar
number of horses.
