Track Record Holder Divide The
Cash to Burns Ranch in 2012
MENIFEE, CA—NOVEMBER 20, 2011—Burns Ranch has announced Abigail Kawananakoa’s
Divide The Cash will begin his stallion career in 2012 at their Menifee,
California establishment following his racing career.
He is slated to race in Saturday's Z. Wayne Griffin Directors Trials in hopes of
capturing another berth to the prestigious Grade 1 $750,000 Champion of
Champions at Los Alamitos Race Course.
The reigning 350 yard track record holder at Los Alamitos won one of the two
divisions of the Directors trials last season and he went on to finish third to
Apollitical Jess in the Champion of Champions(G1).
Trained by Rafael Orozco, Divide The Cash dead-heated for second with track
record holder Chivalry SR in the Vessels Maturity(G1) and most recently ran
second to champion Jess You And I in the $150,000 Robert Boniface Los Alamitos
Invitational Championship(G1).
The Separatist 4-year-old has won or placed in 15 of 19 career starts, earning
$446,767. He also won the Make It Anywhere Handicap and was second in the Los
Alamitos Super Derby(G1).
Divide The Cash is out of the grade 1 winning Dash For Cash mare Time For Royal
Cash ($313,583), winner of both the Golden State Futurity(G1) and Golden State
Derby(G1). She is the dam of three other stakes horses including Time For A
Royal Dip ($72,979), Time For Streaking and Separate Royal Ways.
The second dam is former two-time Broodmare of the Year, Timeto Takeoff
($76,002), dam of two-time champion Royal Down Dash (20 wins, $405,384).
