Stoli sold and moves to Louisiana

October 6, 2011 - Champion and world champion sire Stoli has been purchased by Bobby D. Cox and Chad Hart from the Stoli Syndicate. He will stand the 2012 season at Hart Farms near Kaplan, Louisiana.

From seven crops to race, the son of First Down Dash has sired 279 winners, 24 stakes winners, 28 stakes-placed, one world champion and two champions with earnings of more than $10.2 million.

Among his get are all-time leading money earner and world champion Stolis Winner ($2,229,411), two-time champion aged stallion-twice Ketel Won ($651,740), All American Derby(G1) winner Dont Let Down ($697,769) and Los Alamitos Winter Championship (G1) winner A Stoli Mate ($431,263).

As a broodmare sire, with only two crops to race, he is the No. 3 leading broodmare sire of 2011 money earners with three stakes winners and $1.67 million in earners. He is the dam sire of All American Futurity (G1) winner Ochoa ($1,244,200), TQHA Sale Futurity (RG2) winner Triple Vodka ($183,310) and Louisiana Breeders' Lassie Futurity (RG2) winner Jessalittlecourage ($169,293).

Stoli won or placed in 14 of 19 career starts with earnings of $332,237. He won the 2001 All American Derby (G1) and was named champion 3-Year-old and champion 3-year-old colt.

His dam is the champion and All American Futurity (G1)-winning daughter of Beduino (TB), Stawberry Silk ($1,266,263). She is the dam of 20 ROM including Grade 3 winner Rousing Encore ($94,233); stakes winners Cashington ($78,489) and Pappasito ($39,740); and stakes-placed Whathaveigottado ($68,567).

Stoli, who was formerly the property of a syndicate, will stand to the outside breeding public for the first the time in 2012. His fee will be announced later.
