Stakes Sire Mr Ottyes to Southwest Stallion Station for 2012

ELGIN, TX—NOVEMBER 20, 2011—Stakes sire Mr Ottyes will stand the 2012 breeding season at Southwest Stallion Station, near Elgin, Texas. His fee has been set at $1,500.

Mr Ottyes the sire of multiple 2012 stakes winner Texasindependencegal SI 104 ($98,290). The two-year-old filly won seven of nine starts this season including the Delta Juvenile Challenge, TQHA Futurity and was third in the Dash For Cash Futurity(G1) at Lone Star Park.

From a limited number of 14 starters, Mr Ottyes has sired five winners, 6 ROM and 1 stakes winner with average earnings per starter of $9,227. He is also the sire of Ottyes Dashing Gal SI 104 ($14,136), Rare Cartel SI 94, etc.

Owned and bred by Otto Goebel of George West, Texas, the stakes-placed and grade 1 finalist son of Corona Cartel won or placed in nine of 14 career starts while earning $42,763. Earning a speed index of 99, he was third in the $126,650 Manor Downs Derby(G2), a finalist in the $300,000 Sam Houston Futurity(G1) and $105,190 Longhorn Derby(G3).

He is out of the grade 3 finalist Return O Tolle, by Jody O Toole. She is the dam of five ROM, one stakes-placed including 2011 3-year-old colt Oakville Cartel SI 108. The second dam is a daughter of Flaming Jet.
