Shakopee — May 3, 2011 - The Minnesota Thoroughbred Association will host a new owner’s seminar at Canterbury Park beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday. The seminar will be held on the Mezzanine level of the Canterbury Park Grandstand, 1100 Canterbury Road, Shakopee.

The seminar is free and open to the public. It is designed for new and experienced owners who would like to learn more about thoroughbred ownership and racing.

A panel of speakers will cover various topics, including legal considerations, financial/accounting issues, purchasing, owner/trainer relationships, partnerships, veterinary care and retirement options at the end of racing careers.
