JEH STALLION STATION Announces Major Reorganization, New Mexico Station closure

PILOT POINT, TX—OCTOBER 19, 2011—Jim and Marilyn Helzer announced a major reorganization today of their JEH Stallion Stations, with divisions in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

JEH Texas was established near Pilot Point in 1998. Last year JEH acquired a large ranch and a fully equipped equine hospital (two locations) in Whitesboro, Texas, 30 miles north of the current Pilot Point ranch location, with the intent to move the stallion station in the near future.

With the extension of the North Dallas Tollway into Denton County (near JEH Texas) starting in 2012, the decision has been made to begin implementation of the company's long-term ranch succession plan.

JEH Stallion Station's Texas Division will begin moving to this new facility immediately and will be open for business in time for the coming breeding season. The new facility is located 15 miles south of the Oklahoma border off Highway 82, halfway between Gainesville and Sherman, Texas.

Due to economic conditions in New Mexico, the Helzer's and R.D. Hubbard, a co-owner of JEH Stallion Station-New Mexico, have also made a strategic decision to close their Hondo, New Mexico facility.

"We could not have had our many successes in New Mexico without the help of our great staff", Helzer said. "We appreciate all of their hard work and commitment over the years".

The stallions currently located in New Mexico will be relocated to other JEH Stallion Station facilities or will be sold. Mare owners can be assured that all rebreeds will be honored to the same stallion or an equivalent.

"We want to thank all our clients from Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico who have supported us the past 17 years," Jim Helzer said on Wednesday.

"JEH stands behind our long-term goal of bringing top stallions to the breeding public and we will continue to offer our clients the best stallions, best service and best staff in the industry," he added.

JEH Equine Reproduction Specialists (JEHERS), a venture offering 'best in class' solutions for advanced reproductive technologies and a full service veterinary clinic, was established by the company in Whitesboro last year.

JEHERS is on the leading edge of embryo transfers, oocyte transfers and intracytoplasmicsperm injection (ICSI) procedures and has recently opened a state-of-the-artI CSI lab. The company has one of the largest recipient herds of top quality mares in the nation.

Andrew Gardiner will continue as the General Manager of both JEH Texas and Oklahoma and JEH ERS. For additional information Andrew can be reached at 903.300.9097.
