Iowa House passes gaming bill DES MOINES,
IA - May 4, 2011 - The Iowa House passed a wide-reaching gambling bill
Tuesday that includes a measure to allow people to vote on horse races
over the phone or via a computer.
The bill, which passed 72-21, also changes the current system by which
voters must affirm their desire to keep a casino in the county every
eight years for it to continue to operate and directs the Iowa Racing
and Gaming Commission to study Internet gambling.
