Heritage Place Announces Select Session for Annual Yearling Sale

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—APRIL 12, 2011—Heritage Place Sale Company announced it will offer a 'Select Session' during their upcoming annual yearling sale scheduled September 15-17, 2011.

"We will offer a select session on Day 1 and Day 2 of the September Sale," Jeff Tebow, Heritage Place General Manager said Tuesday.

"The catalog will be modeled after Keeneland in Kentucky and horses will be weighted by the pedigree of the horse. The goal is to have the best group of horses, based on pedigree, at the beginning of the auction. This has proved to be the ideal method of marketing in the auction industry," he added.

In 2010, Heritage Place cataloged over 1000 head, once again making it the largest yearling sale in the industry. Record attendance was recorded with international buyers participating from Brazil, Mexico and Canada.

The 2011 sale festivities will get underway on September 14th with the Pre-Sale Party, complete with live entertainment, food and drinks.

The sale company also announced it will offer participating consignors a 'Radiograph Repository' this year. While not required, the sale company urges consignors to provide standard 32-View set of DICOM compliant radiographs of their consignments.

"We believe the 'Radiograph Repository' will increase buyer confidence and yield higher selling prices," Tebow said.

"We want to thank the industry for supporting us over the past 33 years," he added. "We remain committed to serving the public's horse auction needs."
