Rise at Heritage Sale - Number One Cartel tops sale with $280,000 bid
Oklahoma City - Nov. 6, 2011 - Heritage Place Sale Company ended its Fall Mixed
Sale on Saturday afternoon with increases across the board for all breeds.
"Preliminary sales results show the 2011 Fall Mixed Sale was a huge success and
posted large increases for all sessions and breeds," Jeff Tebow, Heritage Place
General Manager, said on Saturday following the two-day event.
Preliminary results reported by the sale company for each breed are:
Quarter Horse Yearling Session 26% increase in average on horses sold from
2010. Average was $7,602. RNA = 9.6%.
Quarter Horse Mixed Session 82% increase in average on horses sold from
2010. Average was $9,023. RNA= 12%.
Thoroughbred Mixed Session 12% increase in average on horses sold from 2010.
Average was $1,809.
TB Yearling Session 81% increase in average on horses sold from 2010.
Average was $2,665.
Paint Mixed Session 80% increase in average on horses sold from 2010.
Average was $2,260.
Paint Yearling Session 17% increase in average of horses sold from 2010.
Average was $2,975.
Total transactions equaled $3,714,700, an increase of 28% from 2010. RNAs came
in at 12.5%.
"We couldnt be more pleased with the results of this years sale," Tebow added.
"The weather was perfect, we had a great crowd, and there was a healthy demand
for the horses offered. The success of this sale really sets the stage for the
Winter Mixed Sale that will be held January 19 -21, 2012."
La Lupita Manuel Nieto Gonzalez purchased the high-seller, Number One Cartel,
for $280,000 from Southwest Stallion Station, agent for Tremor Enterprises Inc.,
for $280,000. The Corona Cartel 3-year-old out of Grade 2 winner None As Easy
was a finalist in the 2010 Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity (G1). He has earned
$63,606.
Sunset Well Servicing Inc. purchased the high-selling yearling, Ms Flashy Eyes,
for $88,000 from
Jumonville
Farms. The Mr Jess Perry filly is out of Grade 2 winner Louisiana Eye
Opener, by Mr Eye Opener.
The aforementioned La Lupita Manuel Nieto Gonzalez was the leading buyer with
the one purchase for $280,000. Efrain Ramos bought two head for $202,000, and
Peirce Family Partnership was the third leading buyer with the purchase of
champion and multiple Grade 1 sire Okey Dokey Dale for $165,000.
Southwest Stallion Station, agent for Tremor Enterprises LLC, was the sale's
leading consignor with four head totaling $522,000. Rafter W Stables had nine
head bring $292,000, and Belle Mere Farm Ltd., agent, sold 11 head for $279,000.
Mr Jess Perry led yearling sale sires with three head averaging $47,000,
followed by Corona Cartel, who had three for an average of $28,333, and PYC
Paint Your Wagon with two yearlings averaging $21,750. Carters Cartel was the
leading first-crop yearling sire with two head for an average of $14,500.
FDD Dynasty was the leading covering sire with four in-foal mares averaging
$18,750. Stoli covered three mares for a $10,000 average, and Carters Cartel had
two mares average $9,500.
