Gomez pilots 4 winners takes over lead in standings Sunland Park, NM - Jan. 25, 2012 - Enrique Portillo Gomez shot to the top of the Sunland Park jockey standings on Tuesday by piloting four winners on the card. The red hot rider had five mounts on the day and won with four of them. His winners were Atlantic Thunder ($4.40) in the 6th race, Hunting Dixie ($5.60) in the 7th race, Free Range ($19.60) in the 8th race and Bolivar Shag ($15.40) in the 10th race. Chaco Latte, his fifth mount of the day, ran a close third in the 11th race. The four winner day was a personal best for Gomez and is the most races won in one day by a jockey this meet at Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino.
