Ketel Won to A&A Ranch
ANTHONY, NM—OCTOBER 29, 2011—Three-time champion Ketel Won will stand the 2012
season at
A&A Ranch, near
Anthony, New Mexico.
Bred and owned by R.D. Hubbard, Ketel Won was named AQHA's Champion Aged Horse
and Champion Aged Stallion-twice. He won or placed in 15 of 19 career starts
while earning $651,740.
The son of champion and world champion sire Stoli won The Championship at
Sunland Park(G1), Zia Park Championship(G1), All American Gold Cup(G3)-twice and
Higheasterjet Handicap. He was second in The Championship at Sunland Park(G1),
Lovington Handicap(G2), Mr Jet Moore Stakes(G3), Los Alamitos Invitational
Championship(G3) and Hobbs America Derby. He was also a finalist in the All
American Derby(G1) and Rainbow Derby(G1).
Ketel Won is out of the grade 2 winning Streakin Six mare Sixy Lady ($146,318),
who also produced stakes-placed The Sixy Side ($33,318 at 2). His second dam is
the multiple stakes producing The Signature mare Lady Signature, dam of five
stakes horses and granddam to champion's Noconi $1,272,563 to 6, 2011), and
Brenda Beautiful ($337,176), etc.
His first crop will race in 2012.
