Time For A Cigar
Tops Lovington Stakes
Hobbs, NM – Nov. 2, 2011 - Time For
A Cigar, a 5-year-old Corona Cartel gelding racing for
Double Eagle Ranch Inc. and
Buena Suerte Equine, is one of seven aged Quarter
Horses entered in Sunday's Grade 2, $55,000 Lovington
Stakes at Zia Park.
Time For A Cigar is coming off of
two-length victory as the 1-2 favorite in the October
16, $60,000 Bank of America Turf Paradise Challenge
(G3). All told, the gelding has banked $455,944 from 21
starts, and his nine wins include the 400-yard, $30,000
Mr Jet Moore Handicap (G3) at Ruidoso Downs on August 6.
Time For A Cigar's opponents
include Double Chiseled. A 5-year-old gelding by SC
Chiseled In Stone owned by Top Roustabouts and Backhoe
Service, Double Chiseled is coming off of an upset
victory in the September 17, $55,000 James Isaac Hobbs
Stakes (G3) at Zia Park on September 17.
