Thomason's Quiet Again leads a field of seven older
runners in Saturday's 1 1/16-mile, $55,000 Veteran
Stakes at Zia Park.
A homebred 6-year-old gelding by
1998 Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Real Quiet trained by
Jimmie Claridge, Quiet Again has won four stakes this
season, including the 1 1/16-mile, $50,000 Curribot
Stakes at Sunland Park on February 13. Quiet Again drew
post 2 and will be ridden by Ken Tohill.
Quiet Again has won 15 of 42 races
and has earned $540,918.
Quiet Again's six opponents include
Frontier Stables LLC's Red Lead, a 5-year-old gelding by
Red Bullet trained by Chris Hartman. Red Lead ran
second, three-quarters of a length behind winner Skip A
Smile, in the 1 1/8-mile, $100,000 Governor's Cup Stakes
at Remington Park on August 20.
