Popular All American Future Wager
Returns In July at Nationwide Outlets
RUIDOSO DOWNS, New Mexico (June 17, 2011) – The All American Future
Wager returns in July at Ruidoso Downs after a very successful
inaugural offering last summer.
“We are very pleased to again offer our customers the All American
Future Wager,” said Ruidoso Downs general manager Jean Stoddard. “It
was an amazing success last summer and it promises to be even better
this year. The fans really went for it. It’s fun.”
From July 15-23 at Ruidoso Downs and wagering outlets throughout the
country, horse players will be able to select their choice as the
winner of the Grade 1, $2,400,000 All American Futurity on Labor Day
at Ruidoso Downs.
The purse is an all-time record for quarter horse racing and the
winner’s share of $1,200,000 is also a record for American Quarter
Horse racing.
This is nine-day wagering period is increased from last year when
the All American Future Wager was offered for four days.
Fans should check with their local track or wagering outlet about
availability of the All American Future Wager and it will be
featured on national wagering outlets, such as TVG.
Players will be able to choose from among 23 individual betting
interests – the top-ranked 2-year-old quarter horses in the nation ‑
and a field bet consisting of all other horses.
The field wager was the winning wager last year. Future wagers
provide the prospects for large payoffs. The All American Future
Wager is fashioned after the Kentucky Derby Future Wager and this
year’s Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom paid $64.40 for a $2
wager.
In last year’s All American Future Wager, every fan who had made a
bet on the field was guaranteed to be a winner before the All
American Futurity was run. That was because the entire All American
Futurity field was comprised of horses who were included in the
field bet. The All American Future Wager paid $11 for a $2 bet.
Information of the All American Future Wager will be available at
AAFutureWager.com. That
information will include updates on the top All American Futurity
prospects, including a weekly update of the AQHA/Horseplayernow.com
national poll.
